Not much... The mortgage industry continues to tighten as mortgage company's are turning in down upwards of 75% of applicants. The issues are stemming from job loss, medical issues, price of gas (believe it or not), past mortgage delinquency's, upside down on the value and tightening on income verifications.
If you fall into any of these areas, there is help. Just finding the help can be a daunting task as the market has flooded with companies promising to help. Be very careful and do your homework before committing to a loss mitigation company. Take a look at our Member Benefits page and see some of the areas you should familiarize yourself with and why we are different.
How many of you have a friend, family member or coworker facing foreclosure? Ok, how many of you have more than 1 friend, family member or coworker facing foreclosure??? Me, me, me is probably the overwhelming consensus. What is shocking, is people are starting to not care anymore and it's becoming somewhat commercial statement to say I'm going through a difficult time with foreclosure or I'm upside down on my mortgage.
I own a mortgage company and I am a Realtor, so people are always asking me how things are going, which almost always leads to how they are doing with their mortgage. With those in foreclosure or facing foreclosure, I am finding people aren't scared any longer or embarrassed, for that matter, to talk about the big F word (foreclosure). On the contrary, they talk freely about their foreclosure situation as a sort of relief and recovery.
I would love this blog to turn into a session for folks to talk about their situation with me and discuss ideas on what to do next. Please feel free to contact me anytime at 1-888-309-5972.
A very short time ago the House passed the American Housing Rescue and Foreclosure Prevention Act.
On the basic level, this Act responds directly to the current mortgage and foreclosure crisis facing middle class Americans while providing the tools to prevent a repeat of these problems. What it also provides is help with families facing foreclosure keep their homes, help other families avoid foreclosures in the future, and help the recovery of communities harmed by empty homes caught in the foreclosure process.
I'm all for helping the Real Estate and Foreclosure market recover, but I also am a big believer in learning from our mistakes. I feel it is going to be difficult for the homeowners and lenders affected to truly learn what occurred if we continue to bail everyone out with no repercussions. I also believe some accountability should be shared between the government and the lenders who pushed the limit with appraisals, adjustable mortgage and negative amortization loans.
I can appreciate what the government is trying to do and I support the aid. In the same breathe, I believe we all need to feel the pinch so it leaves a lasting impression of where we were and where we are today.
I started National Foreclosure Mediators with my partner to give homeowners facing foreclosure or homeowners upside down in equity on an adjustable rate mortgage, access to an experienced and caring voice that will work hard with their lender for a quick and affective resolution to stop foreclosure or simply lock their interest rate. We are a compassionate company, we love to serve our customers and we hope to make a lifelong friendship.
Notice your home value decreasing and now you are stuck in an over mortgaged property or an adjustable mortgage that is about to reset and now you find yourself asking this question about stopping foreclosure, What are my options? Here is what you should know. There are dozens of homesaving programs available to stop foreclosure or save your home, some you may know about and some you don't, some you can do on your own and some you should seek professional assistance.
The Government has funded a few options to assist you in saving your home from foreclosure, only problem now is, you are out of time and those free options are overwhelmed and too busy to assist your specific need.
There are many for profit companies that have found this under staffed industry as an excellent opportunity to save thousands of homes and provide the expert knowledge needed to stop foreclosure.
